Question
Water stains and signs of moisture under an upper deck have developed in the stucco above my patio door and under the deck. The building is only 2 years old. It appeared following snow sitting on the deck that water may have run behind the stucco itself. There is no sign of any water penetration inside the home. Investigation showed that the caulking on the deck between the cement and frame had loosened. Upon recaulking, the caulk slid between the the concrete an frame. Is caulking likely to resolve the problem or should it be further investigated?
